Welcome to Generate v1.1!
The latest release includes workflow, usability and speed improvements. The addition of interactive table elements in the 3D canvas will greatly improve workflow, while overall service response time has been improved, and we’ve built a mobile project viewing app that will assist in collaboration across a design team.
Let's break it all down.
Generate results can now be viewed on any mobile device running Safari or Chrome. Any scenario with a final result will automatically load that result to the 3D canvas. At present, the mobile app is view/read only but stay tuned for future updates where we plan to allow users to set up and run optimizations from any mobile device.
We now offer an all new enterprise pricing plan for Generate that is tailored to your enterprise needs. This plan allows your team to work fully in the cloud or on-premise tailored to your data compliance needs.. Further differentiating the enterprise plan from the professional plan is the option of, self-managed encryption and hosting computation and data in the AWS GovCloud - an isolated AWS region designed to host sensitive data and regulated workloads in the cloud.
Load Case Representation in 3D Canvas
FORCE VECTOR DISPLAy
Force vectors are now displayed in the 3D canvas as 3-dimensional vectors. You’ll be able to easily verify your optimization setup while also gaining insight into the relationship between the applied forces and resulting mesh. Force vectors can now be edited directly in the 3D canvas by clicking on them. You’ll be able to experiment by clicking directly on vectors and changing their values in real time.
Fixed and Pressure Load Display
Fixed and pressure loads are now displayed in the 3D canvas as icons. Clicking the icons allows for direct editing in real time within the 3D canvas. Giving you more insight to better understand the setup of your optimizations.
Loadcase Visibility Toggle
You’re now able to turn loadcases (vectors, fixed, pressures) on and off easily to get a 3D representation in the canvas at will. Any number of loadcases can be active simultaneously which will greatly improve users ability to make comparisons between loadcases in the 3D canvas.
3D Canvas Visibility Toolbar
The design space and result mesh visibility can be toggled individually between ‘show’, ‘hide’ and ‘ghosted’. These options are also automatically selected for users at various times while using Generate to give them the best possible view of their optimization setup or results.
Generate now uses websockets for all browser-to-server communication. Users will notice a significant speed increase when loading projects, switching between scenarios and loading meshes.
