Interested in learning about the latest innovations in 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies from both experienced industry veterans and cutting edge start ups? Join me at the DEVELOP3DLive event on October 23 – 24, 2017 at the George Sherman Union at Boston University, Boston, MA.
Sponsored by DEVELOP3D Magazine, this event is a must-attend opportunity for product designers, engineers and technologists to share information and engage one another on the latest product development technologies and how to get lighter, stronger and higher quality parts and products to market faster.
I’m looking forward to participating in the discussion and will be giving a presentation on How Functional Generative Design Reshapes Everything at 3:50pm on Monday, October 23, 2017. During the session, I plan to demonstrate Generate using a case study based on a recent GE Aircraft bracket challenge, addressing critical weight and strength issues AM designers face, which resulted in 70% weight reduction, translating into more than $10 million in potential savings. Different workflows will be covered to exhibit different aspects of the balance between Generative Design and designer intent.
If you're in the Boston area and attending the event, drop us a line in the comment section below, we’d love to connect with you there.
